Velocity reports are a helpful resource for making merchandising decisions as well as buying and reordering decisions. This report will help you measure at what speed your items are selling, what you have on hand and how many units you have on order.

Go to Reports > Analysis
You will land on the Filters tab, filter the dates you wan to see this information for. The example below is set to filter Month to Date.

Next you can filter by Location is you want to see a specific locations rather than all your locations at once.

Next head over to the Groups tab. Select the following groups.
Location >> Name
Item >> Style Name or Item >> # (This is entirely up to how you want to report on the items, play around with both options and see what works best for you. Note that Style Name is a custom field.)
Item >> Category (also a custom field)

Next go over to the Metrics tab and add the following metrics.
Location Sales >> Sell-Through
Location Sales >> Net Sales
Location Sales >> Net Qty Sold
Current Inventory >> Days Since Last Sold
Current Inventory >> Qty on Hand
Purchasing >> Total Open Qty on PO

The example shown is sorted by Location Sales >> Net Sales and Item >> Category. The sorting can be changed to tailor what you want to see!

Lastly Head over to the options tab and remove the subtotals by deselecting the subtotals option. This will clean up your data and make it really easy to read.

Now you have a Velocity report that you can further customize to make the most informed decisions about your inventory!
