Springboard Retail can track sales commissions through the sales rep field and also through custom fields and reporting. 

Here is how to build a report on commissions by sales rep:

Filter:

  • Filter on the date you would like to see

Groups:

  • Sales >> Sales Rep

Metrics:

  • Source Sales >> Gross Sales
  • Source Sales >> Net Markdowns
  • Source Sales >> Gross Returned
  • Source Sales >> Net Sales
  • Source Sales >> Net QTY Sold

You can also track different commissions for different items through custom fields. The first thing you will want to do is create a custom field on your items called "% commission." After this is complete, you can build a report to view commission by sales rep. Below are the steps on how to build that report:

Filter:

  • Filter on the date you would like to see

Groups:

  • Date
  • Sale >> Ticket #
  • Sale >> Sales Rep
  • Item >> Item #
  • Item >> Item Description
  • Item >> % Commission

Metrics:

  • Source Sales >> Gross Sales
  • Source Sales >> Net Markdowns
  • Source Sales >> Gross Returned
  • Source Sales >> Net Sales
  • Source Sales >> Net QTY Sold

You can then export this report into excel and calculate employee commissions amounts in total or by items.
