Holding, Voiding and Creating a New Ticket

This document outlines the procedure for holding, voiding, and creating a new ticket using Heartland Retail POS.

Getting Started

To access Heartland Retail POS, in the top navigation menu of the Heartland Retail homepage, click the “Point of Sale” link.

This will bring you to the Point of Sale page.

Holding a Ticket

Once you assign a ticket (add sales rep, customer name, item, etc), you may put it on hold to access and edit later.

  1. Click the “Ticket #” grey box. A drop down menu will appear.

  2. Click “Place on Hold”

This will save the ticket to be accessed and/or edited later by clicking the “Find Ticket” button on the left menu bar.

Voiding a Ticket

Once you personalize a ticket (add sales rep, customer name, item, etc), you may void the ticket so it is cancelled.

  1. Click the “Ticket #” grey box. A drop down menu will appear.

  1. Click the “Void” button. A red banner across the top of the screen will confirm that the ticket has been voided.

Creating a New Ticket

Once you personalize a ticket (add sales rep, add customer name, item, etc), if you wish to start a new ticket, you may create a new ticket.

  1. Click the Menu button on the top left of the POS screen. (It’s a button with three horizontal lines.

    The menu will slide open from the left of the screen.

2. To create a new ticket, click the “ New Ticket” button.

A new ticket will load. You have successfully created a new ticket.

If you would like to create a new order, click the “ New Sales Order” button on the left menu panel. This will take you the the Heartland Retail “Sales Order” page, where you may create the order.
